Trentham and Hanford - 2 vehicles stolen Kings Rd, Incidents on A34/Stone Rd, Attempted Burglary Chessington Cr and important Crime Prevention Advice

Good evening everyone,

Smart Alert Appeals 

Burglary – theft of motor vehicles – Kings Rd

We have received a report that suspect(s) have entered an address on Kings Rd and stolen a White Ford Transit Connect Panel Van and a white Ford Fiesta from the  properties driveway. 

The incident occurred between 20:30hrs on 30/07/26 and 06:30am on 31/07/2026. 

The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on this map. 

It is believed that the suspect(s) gained access to the house via a window. 

The White Ford Fiesta has since been recovered by officers, however the van remains outstanding. 

A34/ Stone Rd

We have also received several reports of a male entering driveways, interfering with parcel boxe(s) and approaching front door(s) on Stone Rd, A34. 

The incidents happened around 03:40am on 31/07/26. 

No access to properties was made and nothing is believed to of been stolen or damaged at this time. 

The incidents occurred between the two blue arrows on this map. 

Today, myself and officers have visited these locations, commencing investigations and completing scene enquiries, along with crime prevention visits. 

The investigations are moving at speed, with a number of lines of enquiries being explored.

Attempt Burglary - Chessington Cr

I have also been made aware that at approximately 00:01 hours on 29/07/26 an unknown suspect has tried to gain access to a property on Chessington Cr via an insecure window. 

No access to the property was made and nothing is believed to of been stolen or damaged at this time.

Crime Prevention advice

From reviewing the incidents that have occurred on the area, it is clear that suspect(s) are taking advantage of insecure doors, windows etc. One of the incidents the suspect climbed through a small window, that was left open, similar to the one in this picture.
